#Blog- Shhh…..Don’t tell anyone!!!
Hello my lovely Kitkats
How are you all doing ☺
I am doing great!!!!
So I am back with another blog, I hope you like it and you are as excited as I am.
Why is it a shame to tell everyone if you are visiting a psychologist. Why can mental health and physical health never be treated equally? Why does the Indian society has this fixed mindset that visiting a counsellor is wrong?
When you can not share certain things in your life with family and friends, its much better to spit it out in front of a counsellor because you know they wont judge you for any of the things u said. It is okay to take help if you are not happy with how life is going. The support of friends and family is very important to recover but when you are going through a mental trauma, it’s important to talk to a person who has experience and knowledge and can change your perspective. They are people who help you to face the reality and tell you how to come out of the zone you are trapped in. It might take you a bit long but when you do come out, a stronger version of you can be seen who now does not care what people say!
Mental health and physical health are connected, you can never physically walk with a smile on your face if you are mentally depressed. You can not sleep properly if you have anxiety. Even if both of them are interdependent, why can they never be treated equally In the society!? Be the change you want to bring in the world.
Mental well being is a very important part since it affects the way u behave, act, talk and think. There might be so many people who need help but they are ashamed and that’s why they are silent but the fact is that if you can visit a doctor for checkup then you can visit a psychologist too!
Sometimes, people are happy with their life but the society keeps bullying them for things like looks, weight, studies etc. which ultimately lead to social stigma. It makes you feel uncertain about yourself and it drops down your confidence which can depress you but at such situation it’s very important to take a stand for yourself and be an example for people who stayed quite and suffered. You don’t have to justify yourself to the aunties gossiping in the neighborhood or to the bullies in your class.
The most important thing that should be clear to everyone that being mentally unwell is not a disease. It is just something that makes you a bit different from others . It might be uncurable sometimes but as an individual you should learn to live with it and be happy about it. The biggest role played for this is by the people around you. It is our duty to make that person feel equal and just as loved as others. We should make sure that they don’t feel separated from the society. They are the gift of god.
I still remember when I met a girl with autism. She was so sweet and kind. She hugged me when I went near her and trust me when I say this her hug felt warmer than the hug I might get from a normal person. It is how they show there love towards you.
