#BLOG- Breaking the Norms: A peculiar Perspective on Boards

Hey, Hopefully you know me and in case you don’t I am Prabhkeerat Kaur!

An Indian girl trying to be the visionary leader for tomorrow… Since you did read this much, why not read the whole thing. It might motivate you to live life a different way 🤩

Okayyy, I have no excuses for being inactive for so long but it feels so good to be back! Hope 2024 is treating you well peeps. I must say time passed by so quick, hasn't it? It was a few years ago when Covid came into our lives, I was a girl from 6th standard back then! Guess what? I just completed my Grade 9 and I have ascended to Grade 10. Now here's why I am telling you all this:

During my after exams break, I was quite worried because GRADE 10 is quite a hype just because it is a class where you give board examinations for the first time. I had to motivate myself over and over again, I would sit and think all day if I would score good or bad some times. Many of my readers are in the same phase and many will experience it in the future. Here's what I have to say-

Come on! We've come so far and we did it! We are grown ups now, hence expected to act mature. Mature people do not run away from challenges, they face it. End of the day, everything is about perceptions. If you prepare well, and think of it as a normal school exam, you can ace it. It is the fear that might pull you back. Trust yourself, take breaks, do things you love, study, concentrate, stay hydrated and most importantly be confident about the things you know!

Now, don't get me wrong. My point of concern here is that we should not overstress, but we should stress. I recently read a study which said that stress creates a state of tension which motivates you to achieve the thing you're stressed for! If you don't want something so hard, you will never work for it.

You should have a passion towards working for your goal but you should also enjoy the process, because the chills you get while entering the halls of a different school for an examination is something you might hate at the moment, but these are the things you will talk about when you grow up.

I know we can do it and we are in it together. You got this! Sorry! We got this. Let's rock and first of all, let's chill out. Let's normalize taking breaks, enjoying side by side and also being extremely diligent and energetic while you're engaged in your preparation.

ALL THE BEST! HAVE A GREAT ACADEMIC YEAR TO THOSE IN GRADE 10 OR ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN SWEET ENOUGH TO READ THIS!! MAY YOU GUY SOAR HIGH!!!!

  1. Well Said Prabh, exam is an end product of efforts, engagement and enthusiasm. If we only work for the end product ,we miss the process and that results in overstress. Keep it up girl and you were missed.

  2. Absolutely surreal! Life is about living not passing, all hype , all grandeur to be achieved is nothing but an ego driven pursuit, eventually, it is what your passion is and what mission you choose to do for not only self but for the world you live in. Shine on dear Prabh, make your path and be the answer to many!
